An Announcement for EmpowerMe Wellness Team Members
We are excited to announce that ONR — one of the largest therapy providers in senior living — is becoming part of the EmpowerMe Wellness family.

Our partnership will enable both our organizations to greatly expand our shared mission, giving us the opportunity to improve the lives of over 100,000 seniors across 36 states and counting!

ONR will continue to operate under its current name in many senior living communities. However, in the coming months, their programs will be rebranded as EmpowerMe Wellness in some locations.

Frequently Asked Questions

How the Acquisition Will Affect You

Will this acquisition affect my role at EmpowerMe Wellness?

Most team members will experience no changes as a result of ONR becoming part of EmpowerMe. Any team member whose role will be affected will be communicated with well in advance.

About ONR

Who is ONR?

ONR is a 35-year-old physical, occupational, and speech therapy provider based out of Austin, Texas. ONR is very similar to EmpowerMe — they are driven by a mission to improve the lives of seniors, and they serve senior living communities all across the United States.

To learn more about ONR, visit onrtherapy.com. We think you’ll be pleased to see how similar our approaches are when it comes to serving senior living residents.

How can I learn more about ONR?

The afternoon of Aug. 29, you will receive calendar invitations for a series of Zoom meetings, where you will have a chance to discuss your questions with EmpowerMe and ONR leaders.

Over the next few weeks, you will receive additional information by email and invitations to additional Zoom calls. You can also submit your questions to EmpowerMe and ONR leadership using this form and get a response by email.

In the meantime, we invite you to visit onrtherapy.com to learn more about our new team members.

About the Acquisition

Why have we acquired ONR?

EmpowerMe’s mission is the relentless pursuit of opportunities to improve the lives of seniors. Acquiring ONR enables us to serve more senior living residents than ever before. ONR operates in states and regions that EmpowerMe currently has no presence in, opening the door for us to touch even more lives all across the country and provide them with new services through our integrated services model.

Why weren’t we told about this before now?

As you can imagine, there are many details to work out as a new partnership progresses. Discretion is important until all the specifics are determined and finalized. Now that we have reached that point, we are excited to share the news with our employees so you can be part of watching our two great teams come together.

What should I do if someone from the media calls?

This is unlikely. However, should it happen, these questions should be answered by a member of the EmpowerMe Wellness senior management team. Please contact marketing@empowerme.com, and they will respond to the media on the company’s behalf.

How will ONR fit into EmpowerMe’s organizational structure?

We are now integrating our two organizations for the benefit of our team members and the residents and communities we serve. As we do, ONR will continue to operate in many of their existing communities under the ONR name.

However, in the coming months, their programs will be rebranded as EmpowerMe Wellness in some locations. When a location makes this transition, all their team members will be retained and provided with training on EmpowerMe’s systems and processes.

Details on how we will integrate ONR and EmpowerMe leadership teams will be announced during the next two weeks.
